Navigating the Human Experience

Are you a human or a Robot? Keep this question in the back of your mind, we’ll come back to it in the end. Now, there are many qualifiers given to indicate what a human being is like and what makes us Human. We automatically believe and accept we are humans because we have a certain anatomy, we can think and speak for ourselves, we possess a mind, etc. Sure having met the prescribed criteria makes us Human, but these days looking at the world around us we keep wondering -Are we ready to live like humans? Because many live like zombies, robots or animals but very rarely like humans. At the very first experience or after a few of being a human, most of us run away or hide, and then slowly we either only exist or survive as humans. It is rare to see someone live as a human.

Why is it so? Maybe, because we haven’t evolved from our animalistic instincts yet. That can explain why we run away, hide or fight at the very first sign of danger instead of trying to resolve the conflict at hand. Being a human in simple language is like being in a game, you have a goal or final destination to reach and you have to overcome the obstacles to do so. Your character in the beginning of the game is equipped with basic skills and weapons they need to move across level one. As and when you level up, you get equipped with advanced weapons, have special powers, and are more skilled. However, with each new level you progress, the level of difficulty also goes up.

Similarly in life, as you grow up, you widen your knowledge, find and polish your skills and become your own version of human but this also means the difficulty level of the problems you face or come across keep changing as well. Then how do you win the game or complete a level for that matter? Is it solely based on your skills and weapons or do you happen to use strategies and seek guidance from skilled players? You know the answer to this.

Remember when you are stuck in the game, don’t doubt your abilities. Each of us are skilled players, it is just that you are at a certain level in the game where the difficulty level cannot be overcome with the resources you have at the moment. Try to find productive ways to overcome your problem or simply Ask for help.

We at Mera Mann Foundation here are to lend an ear, and offer our help to those who need it. Our aim is to help you navigate the Human Experience so that you can start living like a human. Now back to the question I asked in the beginning, what is your answer?
